Tell us about your family:
I'm the oldest of 4 children. Alexis Itzel and Sebastian (aka pollo) are my life! My family is very close and they have been a big part of my career. I don't know how I would've done it without them!
How long have you been at Seasons? How long since you started your career?:
I've been with Seasons for about 2 years. I started as the receptionist but I've been work as a stylist for about a year.
When did you first know that this was was what you wanted to do?:
After I graduated from high school in 2009, I began to take prerequisite courses at RCC for their dental hygiene program. One morning, at 7am (I am not an early bird!), I was in my math class and was looking down at my awesome nails. I thought, "What am I doing?!". I needed to do Makeup, Hair, and Nails!
What inspires you?:
Colors!!! It's awesome how different lights and shades can affect color. I want to eventually be able to master color!
What is your favorite thing about what you do?:
Being able to make people feel beautiful and having their reaction come back to me makes me feel like I've accomplished something much more than just working a normal job.
What are your favorite Aveda products?:
I love Aveda! It's so hard to say what is my fave because ever since I've started using Aveda I instantly saw a change in my own hair. I guess if I had to choose it would be all and everything from the Damage Remedy system. My hair goes through a lot of torture and Damage Remedy is good TLC!
Why do you love Aveda? What do you love about Seasons SalonSpa?:
I love Aveda because everything they do is environmentally safe and it helps everyone and everything involved in all the making of their products. I love Seasons because of all the people that I work with. We are all like sisters!
Have any professional goals for yourself?:
I eventually want to be a master colorist and be set up at a salon with stable clientele.
Where do you see the industry in 5 years?:
I see the industry evolved hopefully with new crazy techniques and colors!
What is your motto?:
Fake it until you make it! You've gotta do what you gotta do to get through!
