We are happy to announce that Claudia has been selected as our S.T.A.R. of the Month! Claudia is a Medical Massage Therapist at Seasons SalonSpa. We sat down with Claudia and asked her a few questions. Here is what she had to say!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN AT SEASONS? Close to 2 years. I started my career in August, 2003 and never stopped! I just LOVE it!
WHEN DID YOU FIRST KNOW THAT THIS WAS WHAT YOU WANTED TO DO? In 2002, when I decided to buy a massage table before I started the school for massage in 2003. I was in school until 2007 and then again from 2010-12 to have my Associate Degree in Medical Massage. In between the massage schooling, I took all the prerequisites for transferring to Cal State San Bernadino to work on the RH-BA program.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU? In 2009, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and the massages were making me feel so good. They actually worked the best for my body and mind. That was my 360 degree turn in life to say goodbye to nursing and continue my education into deeper knowledge of massage and the medical side of therapeutic massage.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT WHAT YOU DO? Working on abused children and people with cancer. I love to see the results of my work and people feeling better!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY: Corina is my amazing daughter and my only child. She makes me so proud!
WHY DO YOU LOVE AVEDA? I love the products. The Stress Fix system, Color Conserve Shampoo and Conditioner, and of course the Aveda oils for massage: Blue Oil and Lavendar!
HAVE ANY PROFESSIONAL GOALS FOR YOURSELF? My goal is to educate people to understand how important massage is. I want them to know how deep the medical therapy of massage can work in their life to treat the emotional, mental, and even spiritual sides combined with physical needs.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS? I can see clearly having my own Wellness Spa where I can help people and kids to recuperate from all kinds of abuse they have suffered in their lives. I want to teach them to use nutrition, exercise, and a spiritual positive attitude at the same time to enhance their well-being.
WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO? "The part can never be well, unless the whole is well."---Plato
